A new definition of the word “dandy” has just turned up in the dictionary. Dandy (noun): elegant bar in the Vieux-Lille neighbourhood that takes excellent care of both its clientele and its cocktails all while giving a new life to Manhattans, Tequila Sunrises, Side Cars, Bloody Marys and more. It does appear that in recent years we’ve been neglecting that pleasurable habit of slowly sipping exotically named beverages throughout the evening. At the Dandy, a Mai Tai gives us a taste of Hawaii, a Cosmopolitan can make us feel like Carrie in Sex and the City, and a Havana Daiquiri will conjure up visions of Ernest Hemingway in his Floridita cocktail bar in Cuba. Alternatively, you can let the bartender surprise you with a subtle, more personal creation: a cognac flambé/raspberry/Champagne that just may go down in history if you can give it a fitting name! Hubert and Gregory will be happy to take care of you for the evening as you settle comfortably into your Chesterfield upstairs at the Dandy. With such a pleasant setting, very courteous service, and a plethora of carefully styled beverages, this Dandy has certainly earned its name!
